How We Calculate Pricing
Transparent methodology for accurate, market-based valuations
Data Sources

eBay Sold Comps
We use eBay's sold listings to show you what items actually sell for. This gives you real market value based on completed transactions, not just asking prices.

Amazon Data
We also pull pricing data from Amazon to give you a comprehensive view of market value across different platforms.
Methodology
What are "Sold Comps"?
"Sold comps" (comparables) are completed sales on eBay. Unlike asking prices, sold comps show what buyers actually paid for items. This gives you a much more accurate picture of market value.
For example, if someone lists a game for $50 but it only sells for $30, the sold comp ($30) is the real market value, not the asking price.
How We Calculate Prices
Flippr analyzes recent sold listings to determine market value. We look at:
- Recent sold prices (typically last 30-90 days)
- Condition of items
- Platform/edition variations
- Market trends and demand
Update Frequency
Our pricing data is updated regularly to reflect current market conditions. We pull fresh data from eBay and Amazon to ensure you're seeing the most up-to-date valuations.
About Accuracy
Flippr provides market-accurate valuations based on recent sales data. However, actual sale prices may vary based on:
- Item condition (new, used, damaged)
- Timing and market fluctuations
- Shipping costs and location
- Listing quality and photos
- Seller reputation
Our prices are estimates based on market data. Use them as a guide, but always consider your specific item's condition and circumstances.
For Resellers
Flippr provides additional insights for resellers:
